Wolves\u2019 relegation has paved the way for United\u2019s Joao Gomes coup<\/p>\n

Thus, it\u2019s anticipated that Rob Edwards will struggle to keep hold of some of his most influential stars, including Red Devils-linked Gomes.<\/p>\n

Gomes is young and experienced in the EPL<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has now racked up 112 Premier League appearances in the three-and-a-half years he\u2019s spent in England and tallied 8,775 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

While Gomes wouldn\u2019t be seen as a marquee signing<\/a> in the way Adam Wharton or Elliot Anderson would be, it goes without saying that more than one midfield signing is necessary for United this summer.<\/p>\n

Not only are they tasked with replacing trusted veteran Casemiro, but they are now planning for the addition of Champions League football to their schedule.<\/p>\n

Given Gomes might be available for a cut-price fee in the aftermath of his club\u2019s relegation<\/a>, it does look to be one option INEOS could pursue in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
