Tomlin\u2019s addition is part of a shakeup at NBC that saw fellow Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy get canned<\/a> after 17 years with the network.<\/p>\n While host Maria Taylor and analysts Devin McCourty and Jason Garrett are expected back on the pregame show, the futures of Jac Collinsworth, Chris Simms and Rodney Harrison are up in the air, per The Athletic. McCourty and NBC have to work out a new contract, the report said, adding ProFootballTalk\u2019s Mike Florio is also expected back.<\/p>\n \u201cFootball Night in America\u201d averaged 8.8 million viewers during the 2025 regular season, its largest audience ever, and was the most-watched sports studio show for the 20th straight year, NBC said.<\/p>\n Fox showed interest in the 54-year-old Tomlin and at one point was considered the favorite, the report said, as the network had a hole on its \u201cFox NFL Sunday\u201d pregame show following Jimmy Johnson\u2019s retirement.<\/p>\n Tomlin stepped down as Steelers coach in January after 19 seasons following Pittsburgh\u2019s wild-card loss to the Texans.<\/p>\n He led the Steelers to a Super Bowl XLIII victory in his second season at the helm and never had a losing season. While he led Pittsburgh to the playoffs 13 times, they failed to win a game in each of their last six postseason appearances.
