The film, which Evenson will write and direct, centers around a displaced artist who becomes haunted by a mysterious woman after using an AI model corrupted by dark web images.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn addition to his work as a filmmaker, Evenson is also a VFX artist, and the creator of Grimoire Horror, a genre-based YouTube channel with over 195,000 subscribers. His viral short films have attracted tens of millions of views on YouTube, and been widely seen across social platforms. He has worked on visual effects on the Academy Award-winning \u201cDune: Part Two,\u201d HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Last Of Us\u201d and Taika Waititi\u2019s \u201cThor: Love and Thunder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cMora\u201d will mark Evenson\u2019s feature debut. Steven Schneider (\u201cThe Long Walk,\u201d \u201cLate Night With the Devil\u201d) and Roy Lee (\u201cWeapons,\u201d \u201cIt\u201d) of Spooky Pictures, Ken Kao and Josh Rosenbaum of Waypoint Entertainment\u2019s Cweature Features (\u201cLonglegs\u201d), and Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple\u2019s Iron Ocean Productions (\u201cThe Sinner,\u201d \u201cCandy\u201d) will produce alongside Neon. Ben Ross of Image Nation and Addison Sharp of Iron Ocean Productions will serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNeon will represent the worldwide rights to \u201cMora.\u201d It\u2019s the latest horror feature from Neon, the studio behind \u201cLonglegs,\u201d the highest grossing independent film of 2024 at $75 million domestically, and \u201cThe Monkey.\u201d It marks Neon\u2019s third partnership with Spooky Pictures, following Alex Ullom\u2019s \u201c4\u00d74 The Event\u201d and Damian McCarthy\u2019s supernatural horror film \u201cHokum\u201d starring Adam Scott, which opens on May 1.
