The Indiana Fever<\/a> selected South Carolina Gamecocks<\/a> standout Raven Johnson with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA<\/a> Draft. The 5-foot-8 guard from Atlanta brings a decorated collegiate career to Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

Johnson spent five years at South Carolina, serving as a starter for three seasons. She played a pivotal role in securing the Gamecocks’ national championships in 2022 and 2024.<\/p>\n

As a senior during the 2025\u201326 season, she averaged 9.9 points, 5.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. She demonstrated remarkable efficiency, hitting 48.6% of her shots<\/a> from the field and 39.8% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n

Her impressive play earned her All-American honors from the Associated Press. She also secured the SEC<\/a> Defensive Player of the Year award.<\/p>\n

Before the 2026 season begins, the Fever are introducing their three new rookies to the local community. On Monday, the team took to X to announce an upcoming meet-and-greet event, headlined by Johnson. It will also feature the team\u2019s other two rookies, Justine Pissott and Jessica Timmons.<\/p>\n

“Come meet our rooks \ud83c\udfc0,” the Fever wrote in an X post. “Raven Johnson, Justine Pissott and Jessica Timmons will be at @7BrewCoffee at 6411 E 82nd St. this Thursday!”<\/p>\n

This is an exciting opportunity for Fever fans who want to meet Johnson and the rest of her co-rookies.<\/p>\n

The Fever selected Pissott in the second round with the 25th overall pick<\/a>. The 6-foot-4 guard-forward played her final three collegiate seasons with the Vanderbilt<\/a> Commodores.<\/p>\n

As a senior in the 2025-26 season, she averaged 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. She converted 42.2% of her 225 3-point attempts. Her sharpshooting helped lead Vanderbilt to the Sweet 16, the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament.<\/p>\n

In the third round, Indiana drafted Alabama Crimson Tide<\/a> standout Timmons with the 40th overall pick. The 5-foot-8 guard spent three years with the Crimson Tide. Like Pissott, Timmons is a reliable shooter.<\/p>\n

During her senior year last season, Timmons provided Alabama with high-volume scoring. She averaged 16.3 points per game, shot 84.6%<\/a> from the free-throw line, and made 39.4% of her 3-point shots. Timmons was named a second-team All-SEC selection.<\/p>\n

With a fresh and exciting crop of talent, the Fever are looking ahead to a promising 2026 season. The addition of Johnson, Pissott and Timmons marks a new era for the team that strives to stand out.
