The child was with his mother at the time, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who sees the child should call 911, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to a shooting just before 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Kenyon Street in Northwest D.C.. When they arrived, they found Hawkins\u2019 mother in an alley suffering from gunshots. She was pronounced dead on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DCPoliceDept\/status\/2046948755388477660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">interim D.C. Police Chief Jeffery Carroll,<\/a> she got into an argument in the alley with a man.
