No further information is available at this time.”<\/p>\n Minutes later a reporter confirmed that Secret Service gave the all clear(Image: KEN CEDENO\/POOL\/EPA\/Shutterstock)<\/p>\n This comes just days after a man attempted to break into the White House after jumping over a security barrier, prompting US Secret Service officers to tackle him to the ground.<\/p>\n A security alert was triggered at the White House in Washington DC following the incident at around 11.30am local time on Thursday. The man’s identity has not yet been released. He jumped over a construction bollard near the Treasury Building on the north-east side of the complex, a Secret Service spokesperson said.<\/p>\n The man was intercepted almost immediately and detained. One officer sustained a non-life-threatening laceration during a “physical altercation” with the man, the spokesperson said.
