Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton are on the entry list for the 2026 Bitpanda Hamburg Open.

Hometown favourite Alexander Zverev<\/a> spearheads a quartet of Top-10 stars on the entry list for the 2026 Bitpanda Hamburg Open<\/a>, to be held from 17 to 23 May. <\/p>\n The No. 3 player in the PIF ATP Rankings is chasing his second title at the clay ATP 500 after he became the first German men\u2019s singles titlist in Hamburg for 30 years in 2023. However, three of Zverev\u2019s current Top-10 rivals are also set to compete at the Hamburger Rothenbaum: No. 5 Felix Auger-Aliassime<\/a>, No. 6 Ben Shelton<\/a> and No. 9 Lorenzo Musetti<\/a>. <\/p>\n Auger-Aliassime reached the semi-finals in Hamburg in 2025, while event debutant Shelton will arrive having recently become an ATP 500 champion on clay for the first time: The American triumphed at another German tournament, the BMW Open by Bitpanda<\/a> in Munich, last week. <\/p>\n Musetti, who overcame Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> to lift the Hamburg trophy in 2022, will join Zverev and 2025 winner Flavio Cobolli<\/a> as the only former champions in this year’s field. <\/p>\n As in 2025, the Hamburg event will be held the week before the ATP Tour\u2019s finest head to Roland Garros<\/a> in pursuit of Grand Slam glory. Among the other stars aiming to chase clay-court success in northern Germany ahead of the clay major in Paris are Top-20 stars Jiri Lehecka<\/a>, Karen Khachanov<\/a>, Valentin Vacherot<\/a>, Tommy Paul<\/a>, Frances Tiafoe<\/a> and Francisco Cerundolo<\/a>. <\/p>\n Meanwhile two former Top-10 players will aim to put recent injury struggles behind them on the Hamburg clay. Holger Rune<\/a> has entered, aiming to make his comeback after not competing for more than six months due to an Achilles injury. Jack Draper<\/a>, who is missing the ATP Masters 1000 events in Madrid and Rome due to a knee injury, is also on the entry list. <\/p>\n Brazilian Joao Fonseca<\/a>, who reached the quarter-finals in Munich, is set for his Hamburg debut, while Jan-Lennard Struff<\/a> and #NextGenATP Justin Engel<\/a> are among the German hopes on the entry list alongside Zverev. <\/p>\n
