\n\tThe Cannes<\/a> Film Festival on Wednesday revealed a fresh round of titles for the Official Selection of its 79th edition, including James Gray<\/a>\u2018s Paper Tiger and Judith Godr\u00e8che\u2019s A Girl\u2019s Story. (Scroll down for the full list of additions.)<\/p>\n

\n\tThey join 60 titles unveiled <\/a>at the festival\u2019s traditional press conference in Paris on April 9, when the bulk of the selection was announced.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe confirmation of Paper Tiger in Official Selection ends days of speculation over whether the film was going to Cannes or not. The New York-set crime drama starring Adam Driver, Miles Teller and Scarlett Johansson will be Gray\u2019s sixth film debuting Cannes, with the director last at the festival with Armageddon Time in 2022.<\/p>\n

\n\tWerner Herzog\u2019s Bucking Fastard starring Kate and Rooney Mara in their first joint onscreen appearance, alongside Orlando Bloom and Domhnall Gleeson, was not in the freshly announced titles.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdapted from Nobel laureate Annie Ernaux\u2019s\u00a0autobiographical novel, A Girl\u2019s Story is the debut feature of Godr\u00e8che, who\u00a0rocked the French cinema world in 2024 with sexual abuse accusations\u00a0<\/a>against directors Beno\u00eet Jacquot and Jacques Doillon.<\/p>\n

\n\tVal\u00e9rie Dr\u00e9ville, Tess Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my,\u00a0Ma\u00efw\u00e8ne Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my and Anna Mouglalis\u00a0lead the ensemble cast bringing Ernaux\u2019s flashbacks to life as she reminisces during a book-signing trip that triggers memories of the pivotal summer of 1958. <\/p>\n

\n\tGodr\u00e8che, who has been a regular guest in Cannes as an actress, hit the festival as a director in 2023 with short film\u00a0Moi Aussi.<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther Cannes additions announced today include Zachary Wigon\u2019s gothic horror-thriller Victorian Psycho<\/a>, about a governess with hidden psychopathic tendencies, which will debut in Un Certain Regard. Maika Monroe, Jason Isaacs, Thomasin McKenzie and and Ruth Wilson star in the drama set in Victorian England and based on Virginia Feito\u2019s eponymous novel.<\/p>\n

\n\tGreek director Konstantina Kotzamani\u2019s Titanic Ocean, coming-of-age tale set in a special boarding school in Japan that trains teenage girls into professional mermaids, will also debut in Un Certain Regard. Athens-based Homemade Films (To a Land Unknown, Arcadia) lead produces in co-production with Wunderlust, Defilm, Manny Films, Frida Films and Happinet Phantom Studios.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new additions also include Olivier Clert\u2019s Lucy Lost. Adapted from bestselling\u00a0War Horse\u00a0writer Michael Morpurgo\u2019s 2014 novel\u00a0Listen to the Moon, the film revolves around the titular figure of mysterious 11-year-old Lucy, whose ability to see visions no one else can see sparks suspicion in the quiet fishing village she calls home.<\/p>\n
