{"id":600325,"date":"2026-04-22T21:19:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T21:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/600325\/"},"modified":"2026-04-22T21:19:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T21:19:13","slug":"caleb-banks-sends-letter-informing-teams-hell-be-fully-cleared-in-early-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/600325\/","title":{"rendered":"Caleb Banks sends letter informing teams he&#8217;ll be fully cleared in early June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is some positive news on one of the top defensive tackles in this year\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n<p>Via Pete Thamel of ESPN, former Florida DT Caleb Banks \u2014 who suffered a broken foot at the scouting combine \u2014 sent a letter to NFL teams on Wednesday informing them that he is on pace to be fully cleared for full football activities in early June.<\/p>\n<p>Banks <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/florida-dt-caleb-banks-broke-his-foot-at-combine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">fractured the fourth metatarsal in his foot<\/a>, which was then surgically repaired in mid-March. He injured his foot the night before his on-field testing, before conducting a partial workout while not knowing the extent of his injury.<\/p>\n<p>The previously reported expectation was that Banks would be sidelined until June.<\/p>\n<p>After playing two seasons at Louisville, Banks played three years at Florida. he finished his collegiate career with 48 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"There is some positive news on one of the top defensive tackles in this year\u2019s draft.
