April 22 (UPI) — A Montana moose went for a self-guided tour of Bozeman and even took a nap in front of a radio station called The Moose.<\/p>\n

Alivia Ballenger, a student at Montana State University, glanced outside her apartment Monday morning and saw a moose running across the neighboring vacant lot.\n<\/p>\n

She sent video of the creature to her father, Travis Ballenger, who posted it to his House of Montana Realty business page on Facebook.<\/a><\/p>\n

“I have the land listing for the property where the moose crossed,” Travis Ballenger told the Bozeman Daily Chronicle<\/a>. “My daughter woke up and there’s this great big moose. It just ran right by my sign.”<\/p>\n

He said he hopes the visit raises interest in the property.<\/p>\n

“It’s a great lot,” he said. “I think the moose thought so, too.”<\/p>\n

The moose was spotted all around Bozeman on Monday, and even settled down for a nap next<\/a> to The Moose 94.7 radio station.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Information Officer Morgan Jacobsen said the moose, which appeared to be an adult, was reported to officials, but they decided not to take any action.\n<\/p>\n

“Yesterday was the first time we had received reports that this moose was in the area,” Jacobsen said. “We didn’t get reports that it was causing conflicts or obstructing traffic.”<\/p>\n

Jacobsen said moose visits in Bozeman are unusual, but not unheard of.<\/p>\n
