In the works for <a href=\"https:\/\/chicagoyimby.com\/2025\/04\/further-renderings-revealed-for-900-clark-street-in-evanston.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">over a year<\/a>, the structure would rise on the corner of Clark Street and Maple Avenue and is being led by Continuum Development, which is also behind the new curved tower at <a href=\"https:\/\/chicagoyimby.com\/2026\/03\/enlarged-plans-revealed-for-2800-north-sheridan-road-in-lake-view.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">2800 North Sheridan Road<\/a> in Lincoln Park.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/900-Clark-01-1024x574.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" class=\"size-large wp-image-89976\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Updated rendering of 900 Clark St by Antunovich Associates<\/p>\n<p>The new tower would replace the northern end of the Church Street Plaza development, demolishing five screens of the existing AMC theater as well as a former Chili\u2019s restaurant, which closed this past December to make way for the project. Similar to 2800 Sheridan, 900 Clark is being designed by Antunovich Associates.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/900-Clark-Street-04-1024x611.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"611\" class=\"size-large wp-image-77419\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rendering of 900 Clark Street by Antunovich Associates<\/p>\n<p>The revised plans shave a floor off the proposal, bringing it down to 26 stories and 298 feet in height, from the original 305 feet. To compensate, the tower has been made slightly wider. While this results in a slight reduction of ground-floor retail space to 2,400 square feet, the project gains two additional units, bringing the total to 360.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/900-Clark-Street-02-1024x511.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"511\" class=\"size-large wp-image-77421\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">PREVIOUS rendering of 900 Clark Street by Antunovich Associates<\/p>\n<p>Of the total units, 72 will be designated as affordable. The unit mix will include 101 studios, 92 convertibles, 104 one-bedroom units, 54 two-bedroom units, and nine three-bedroom layouts. The glass-clad tower will not include on-site parking, with spaces reserved for residents in a garage across the street.<\/p>\n<p>The project will now need City Council approval before moving forward.
