YouTuber Vadir Yuryev behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@MaxTechOfficial\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Max Tech channel<\/a> shared numbers based on iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy units. Yuryev also compares an iPhone Ultra dummy unit to iPhone 17 Pro Max.<\/p>\n<p>iPhone 18 Pro will feature an upgraded camera system<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VadimYuryev\/status\/2047292490831823046\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yuryev<\/a>, both the camera plateau and camera lenses will protrude further on the iPhone 18 Pro Max compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. <\/p>\n<p>17 Pro Max thickness from cameras: 12.92mm<\/p>\n<p>18 Pro Max thickness from cameras: 13.77mm<\/p>\n<p>17 Pro Max thickness from plateau: 11.23mm<\/p>\n<p>18 Pro Max thickness from plateau: 11.54mm<\/p>\n<p>Apple officially lists the depth as 8.75mm for both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, based on the body of the phone without the camera system measured. This is also how the iPhone Air has the thinnest measurement at 5.64 mm. <\/p>\n<p>The increased thickness is expected to be due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/04\/22\/leaker-shares-iphone-18-pros-new-camera-feature-plus-future-upgrades\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">upgraded camera system<\/a> on the iPhone 18 Pro line this fall. <\/p>\n<p>At a glance, it will likely be difficult to spot the change in depth, and the iPhone Air line gives the Pro line more room to trade sleekness for performance. <\/p>\n<p>iPhone Ultra compared to iPad mini<\/p>\n<p>Vadir also compares <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/04\/15\/iphone-ultra-is-coming-six-new-features-in-apples-high-end-model\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone Ultra <\/a>(rumored name for Apple\u2019s foldable display model coming this year) dummy units to existing Apple products:<\/p>\n<p>Look out for a hands-on video with these dummy units from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@MaxTechOfficial\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Max Tech<\/a> later today. <\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s first foldable display iPhone is expected to include the ability to <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/03\/11\/iphone-fold-expected-to-include-new-app-features-including-side-by-side-multitasking\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">run two iPhone apps <\/a>side-by-side.
