A social media user \u2014 who claims she was up for the director of events position at Unwell a year and a half ago \u2014 took to TikTok Wednesday<\/a> to share her experience of what it was like interviewing for Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan\u2019s production company<\/a>.<\/p>\n Courtney Babbin (who goes by @cbabsssss on the social media platform) alleged that things took a turn for the worse during her final interview for the role, which she claims was a solo chat with Kaplan.<\/p>\n A social media user \u2014 who claims she was up for the director of events position at Unwell a year and a half ago \u2014 spoke about her alleged experience interviewing for Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan\u2019s company via TikTok on Wednesday. cbabsssss\/tiktok<\/p>\n Courtney Babbin (seen above) claims things took a turn for the worse during her final interview for the role, which was allegedly a solo chat with Kaplan. cbabsssss\/tiktok<\/p>\n \u201cI walk up to meet him and immediately it was weird. He looked me up and down, like my hair, my makeup, my outfit. I was in a blazer and pants and it was weird,\u201d she alleged to her followers.<\/p>\n Once inside Kaplan\u2019s \u201cmassive office,\u201d Babbin claimed the couch was \u201cso uncomfortable\u201d and low to the ground, with the businessman opting to sit in a chair that was \u201cleveled above\u201d her.<\/p>\n \u201cPower balance weird,\u201d Babbin continued. \u201cAnd he wasn\u2019t making eye contact with me. He was looking straight past me, fixing his hair.\u201d<\/p>\n She then compared their alleged conversation to a \u201cfirst date\u201d line of questioning.<\/p>\n \u201cI walk up to meet him and immediately it was weird. Why does that matter?\u201d<\/p>\n Babbin claimed that led the producer to \u201cs\u2013t on\u201d everyone at the company, except his wife, Cooper.<\/p>\n \u201cHe said, \u2018Everyone who works here is a stupid nepo baby. They are rich. They don\u2019t care. They have no work ethic. They are lazy,’\u201d she alleged of their conversation. \u201cHe looked unimpressed with the whole situation. It was just nasty. It was awful.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI pushed back on answering what my parents do for a living, like what relevancy does that have to this interview?\u201d she alleged of her conversation with Kaplan (pictured above with Cooper in 2023). Getty Images for Netflix<\/p>\n The TikTok user claimed the interaction left her \u201cso uncomfortable and so upset,\u201d and wondered if Cooper was aware of how Kaplan acted at work.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople say, \u2018Don\u2019t meet your idols,\u2019 because this woman, who I looked up to for so long, the fact a man is sitting behind this being so judgy and nasty \u2026 just talking poorly about what she built. It was by far the most inappropriate situation I\u2019ve been in,\u201d Babbin alleged, claiming Kaplan even tried to hug her at the end of the interview.<\/p>\n After not getting the job, she allegedly tried to contact human resources about what happened \u2014 but was ignored.<\/p>\n In her TikTok video, Babbin made it clear that she had never met Cooper (who mainly focuses on her podcast, \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d), so her only negative interaction was allegedly with Kaplan.<\/p>\n Kaplan (pictured here alongside Cooper in 2024) was previously accused of berating and threatening the careers of Unwell Network staff. Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/p>\n Babbin later took to her Instagram Stories, bashing Kaplan as \u201cthe antithesis\u201d of the brand Cooper built around \u201cempowering women,\u201d \u201ccreating safe workplaces\u201d and \u201ccalling out toxic behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t preach one thing publicly and then turn around and say \u2018not my problem\u2019 privately,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the lack of awareness. If your whole message is about protecting women and creating better environments, but the energy around you doesn\u2019t reflect that\u2026 what are we doing? Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/p>\n She argued that the media mogul (pictured here in 2025) \u201ccan\u2019t preach one thing publicly and then turn around and say \u2018not my problem\u2019 privately.\u201d Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/p>\n Babbin\u2019s story comes just days after a new report accused Kaplan of berating and threatening the careers of Unwell Network staff.<\/a><\/p>\n Insiders close to the company alleged in Monday\u2019s bombshell Bloomberg report<\/a> that there are ongoing issues between the CEO and the staff of Unwell.<\/p>\n Kaplan has allegedly \u201cearned a reputation for frequently yelling at staff members,\u201d the report claimed.<\/p>\n In 2025,\u00a0Cooper told Marie Claire<\/a>\u00a0that, as a CEO, her hope has always been to create a \u201cvery positive and safe\u201d environment for her staff and that her door is \u201calways open.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d host (pictured here in 2025) has also been making headlines herself over the past few weeks for feuding with Alix Earle. The media mogul urged the TikTok influencer to air whatever issues they have out in the open, instead of\u00a0hiding behind \u201cpassive-aggressive\u201d social media likes<\/a>, earlier this month.<\/p>\n Earle has yet to respond to Cooper\u2019s post, aside from writing, \u201cOkay on it!!\u201d in the comments section.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
