Celtics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After missing the first two games of the Philadelphia 76ers&#8217; first-round playoff series against the <a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/boston-celtics\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Celtics<\/a>, Joel Embiid was listed as doubtful for Game 3.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the\u00a076ers officially ruled him out for <a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/boston-celtics\/news\/watch-celtics-vs-76ers-game-3-channel-stream-time-nba-playoffs\/1b4d1e33849828ca82a62030\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Game 3<\/a> a few hours before tip-off, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TimBontemps\/status\/2047783937708056884\" rel=\"nofollow\">according to ESPN&#8217;s Tim Bontemps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Joel Embiid has been ruled out for tonight\u2019s game, per a team spokesperson. Embiid has been working hard to return to play, including intensifying his on court work. He met with medical staff this afternoon and while doctors are pleased with his progress just two weeks removed from surgery, he has not yet been cleared to play,&#8221; Bontemps wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Joel Embiid has been ruled out for tonight\u2019s game, per a team spokesperson. Philadelphia is <a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/boston-celtics\/news\/nick-nurse-hopeful-joel-embiid-returns-practice-celtics-76ers-game-3\/a8b35cce3b48b7341651b765\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hopeful that he&#8217;ll be able to return<\/a> at some point during the series, but it won&#8217;t be on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, the Sixers will be shorthanded for their first home game of the series after splitting the first two games of the series in Boston.
