The co-hosts of ABC\u2019s\u00a0\u201cThe View\u201d\u00a0launched a blistering attack on Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a> on Thursday, questioning his fitness for office following a series of contentious Senate hearings. <\/p>\n

At one point, co-host Joy Behar<\/a> said of the administration\u2019s policies, \u201cSometimes, I feel like they\u2019re trying to kill us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kennedy locked horns with lawmakers this week during back-to-back appearances before the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). <\/p>\n

The hearings come amid reports that the White House has moved to \u201ctighten its grip\u201d on the HHS, allegedly advising Kennedy to temper public rhetoric regarding shifts in national vaccine policy.<\/p>\n

One of the moments from the testimony involved Kennedy\u2019s vision for artificial intelligence. <\/p>\n

He suggested to lawmakers that AI could eventually \u201crevolutionize medicine\u201d to the point of making the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) \u201cirrelevant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just reading about a dog that had cancer, and his owner used AI to develop a personalized treatment that cured the cancer,\u201d Kennedy told the Senate panel on Thursday.<\/p>\n

While co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted she would do anything to save her own pet, she expressed alarm that such anecdotes were being used to guide federal policy by someone she claimed lacks the proper credentials.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is our expert\u2014somebody who does not have a medical degree, who does not have a background in science,\u201d Griffin said. <\/p>\n

\"Robert\u201cThe View\u201d co-hosts launched a tirade questioning Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u2019s position as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary. AP<\/p>\n

She specifically pointed to the administration\u2019s recent decision to pivot away from certain mRNA research.<\/p>\n

Griffin claimed the HHS has moved to cancel\u00a0$500 million in funding for mRNA vaccine research\u2014a technology she noted is currently showing \u201cmassive breakthroughs\u201d in treating pancreatic cancer. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat has real-life consequences,\u201d she warned, adding that the impact could be felt for decades.<\/p>\n

Co-host\u00a0Whoopi Goldberg<\/a>\u00a0turned the focus toward government transparency, suggesting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been \u201ccleared out\u201d of vital information regarding clinical trials.<\/p>\n

The conversation took an even darker turn when Behar suggested a more malevolent motive behind the administration\u2019s health policies.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, sometimes I feel like they\u2019re trying to kill us,\u201d Behar said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think?\u201d Goldberg retorted.<\/p>\n

Behar pivoted to a personal attack on the secretary\u2019s character and past. <\/p>\n

\u201cHere you\u2019ve got a guy who is in charge of our health, who is a former heroin addict\u2026 he swam in sewage! Who does that?\u201d she shouted.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd [he] snorted cocaine off a toilet seat. This is who is in charge of your health, America. We\u2019re in a lot of trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n
