In recent days, reports suggested Arsenal had rejected an offer for Jakub Kiwior<\/a> from Portugal in July. Santi Aouna now reports for Foot Mercato<\/a> that the proposal was a loan with an obligation to buy for \u20ac27m (\u00a323.5m).<\/p>\n Aouna claims the Gunners turned the bid down for multiple reasons, preferring a permanent transfer without a loan and also a higher fee than Porto were offering.<\/p>\n James McNicholas confirms for The Athletic<\/a> that that Kiwior has been the subject of interest from Porto, but Arsenal aren\u2019t in a hurry to move him on. Yet as with most players, there\u2019s a number at which a deal would make sense for all parties.<\/p>\n As always, there are also reports of interest in Kiwior from Italy. Having previously played for Spezia in Serie A, the centre-back is perpetually linked with a return to the country.<\/p>\n La Gazzetta dello Sport report in their print edition<\/a> on Tuesday morning that Juventus are looking at Kiwior as an option in case of the increasingly likely departure of former Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly.<\/p>\n The Italian outlet describe Kiwior as the most natural fit for Juventus\u2019 defence if Kelly leaves. But Juventus are stuck waiting to see what happens with Kelly before they can make a move, so they\u2019ll be hoping Porto don\u2019t make any progress in the meantime.<\/p>\n Fabrizio Romano reported<\/a> last week that Mikel Arteta<\/a> would prefer to keep Kiwior, so there are no guarantees he\u2019ll leave at all.
