While Petchey<\/a> will still be in contact with Raducanu<\/a>, his media commitments do not enable him to travel on the WTA Tour<\/a> full time.<\/p>\n Instead, Raducanu\u2019s main coach will be Francis Roig, who worked with Rafael Nadal<\/a> for 17 years.<\/p>\n Roig had worked with Nadal as an assistant coach to both Toni Nadal<\/a> and Carlos Moya<\/a> between 2005 and 2022.<\/p>\n Their run together officially concluded at the end of the 2022 season, but Nadal had nothing other than positive things to say about Roig after announcing they were parting ways.<\/p>\n Nadal also suggested that the reason behind the departure from his team was due to Roig wanting to partake in new ventures into coaching.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to inform you that Francis Roig is leaving my team and starting a new personal project as a coach,\u201d Nadal said on social media at the time. <\/p>\n \u201cHe started joining the team and worked with us together with my Uncle Toni and later with Carlos Moy\u00e1 and recently Marc L\u00f3pez.
