That puts it at an equal price with the A37 and the A57 is easily the better phone. You can check out our versus article to see how these two compare, but here’s a summary.

The Galaxy A57 has a slimmer 6.9mm metal frame vs. 7.4mm plastic frame, it’s lighter at 179g vs. 196g, despite having the same 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, has a newer chipset (Exynos 1680 vs. 1480) and marginally better camera hardware. These two phones launched with One UI 8.5 (Android 16) and will receive 6 major OS updates.

The Poco F8 Pro is a bit pricier, but it has a flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Elite (which is a year old at this point). It also brings a telephoto camera, a 50MP 2.5x/60mm module, plus a larger 6,210mAh battery with 100W wired charging (and 22.5W reverse). This gave the Poco an edge in our testing with 17:35h Active Use score vs. 13:59h for the Galaxy A57.

You can get the more current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with the Poco F8 Ultra. This one also brings a bigger 6.9” display (up from 6.59”), bigger 6,500mAh battery (18:52h Active Use score) that also does 50W wireless charging, a bigger 50MP sensor in the main (1/1.31” vs. 1/1.55”), a longer 50MP 5x/115mm telephoto and a better 50MP ultra-wide (vs. 8MP).

The Ultra does cost extra, of course. The Realme 16 Pro+ is closer to the F8 Pro pricing and while it loses the chipset fight (it has a mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 4), it packs a larger 6.8” display and a bigger 7,000mAh battery (18:18h). It also has a leg up in camera hardware with a 200MP (1/1.56”) main, 50MP 3.5x telephoto and a 50MP selfie camera (vs. 20MP). Video stabilization could have been better, but the 16 Pro+ camera impressed in our review (more so than the Poco F8 Pro camera).

There are two slender Motorola phones on sale. The Motorola Signature is a tentative return to the flagship segment – this 7mm phone packs a 6.8” display (165Hz LTPO) and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (not Elite) chipset. It has a large 1/1.28” 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3x/71mm periscope and a 50MP ultra-wide, plus a 50MP selfie camera. The 5,200mAh battery isn’t huge, but it did well in our tests with a 16:13h Active Use score. It supports fast 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Then there’s the slimmer (and cheaper) Motorola Edge 70. This one measures only 6mm and weighs 159g (vs. 186g for the Signature), but battery capacity drops to 4,800mAh (13:36h) and charging rates are reduced to 68W wired and 15W wireless. The screen is a 6.7” 120Hz OLED panel and the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (same as the Realme). The camera system only has a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide, there is no dedicated telephoto module.

We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 only just hit store shelves and the A57 is already sporting a…

[41
165,74
0":"post-605791","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mobile","8":"tag-mobile","9":"tag-technology
["GET
