{"id":605911,"date":"2026-04-25T16:30:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T16:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/605911\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T16:30:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T16:30:10","slug":"patricia-arquette-is-loving-getting-older-i-dont-take-fools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/605911\/","title":{"rendered":"Patricia Arquette is loving getting older: &#8216;I don&#8217;t take fools&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Patricia Arquette is fully embracing life and aging.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really enjoy getting older,\u201d the actress, who made her debut in 1987\u2019s \u201cA Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors,\u201d told Page Six at the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bFLK_EaTiaY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Planned Parenthood Of Greater New York Spring Into Action Gala<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Arquette, 58, credits the passing years with teaching her some hard-earned wisdom and important life lessons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t take fools gladly,\u201d she noted, adding, \u201cI\u2019m still coming to terms and trying on new things like saying \u2018no.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Patricia Arquette spoke to Page Six at the recent the recent Planned Parenthood Of Greater New York Spring Into Action Gala about her thoughts on aging. Page Six<\/p>\n<p>The actress, who turned 58 earlier this month, said she \u201creally enjoy[s] getting older.\u201d Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Academy Award winner, who took home the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for \u201cBoyhood\u201d in 2015, acknowledged that she still struggles with that two-letter word.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still sometimes feel bitchy [about saying \u2018no\u2019], and maybe I don\u2019t deliver it the best way,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt\u2019s like having boundaries. It also felt one-note, and felt like [it had] a short shelf life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t want to be limited by my own beauty,\u201d she added. \u201cI didn\u2019t even feel beautiful myself, but the world was treating me like that, so I always had a really intense conflict with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLost Highway\u201d star also spoke to Page Six at the recent Planned Parenthood event about her growing alarm over how women are being portrayed on social media today.<\/p>\n<p>Arquette first gained fame starring in movies like 1993\u2019s \u201cTrue Romance\u201d before winning an Oscar in 2015 for \u201cBoyhood\u201d and winning acclaim for her recent television roles. \u00a9Warner Bros\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>Arquette, who spoke at the gala on April 15, also stressed the importance of Planned Parenthood \u2014 not just for women, but for \u201cmen and our young kids,\u201d too.
