\n\tCyndi Lauper<\/a> didn\u2019t hold back when a heckler interrupted her opening night in Las Vegas, firing back mid-show with an expletive-laced response that quickly drew cheers from the crowd.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe moment unfolded Friday at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where Lauper launched \u201cCyndi Lauper: Live in Las Vegas<\/a>,\u201d a limited engagement running through May 2. While introducing her song \u201cSally\u2019s Pigeons,\u201d the two-time Grammy winner was interrupted by a heckler and immediately addressed it.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know what the fuck you\u2019re saying, hon,\u201d Lauper said in a video from the show. \u201cBut please remember where you are, OK? Because if you\u2019re trying to shade me, bitch, I\u2019m gonna come for you. I\u2019m from Brooklyn, and if I wanna fucking talk, I will do a tap dance if I fucking want. Sorry, that of course is not part of my people skills.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe crowd responded with applause, and Lauper quickly moved forward with the performance.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe residency marks a new chapter for the \u201cTime After Time\u201d and \u201cTrue Colors\u201d singer following her 69-date \u201cGirls Just Want to Have Fun\u201d farewell tour, which concluded last August. Though she previously indicated she would step back from touring, she has continued to take on select live appearances, including a recent Hollywood Bowl show that was recorded for a CBS special honoring her career. Variety<\/a> described the Hollywood Bowl special as showing that Lauper \u201cbrings more than enough wattage to power two hours on her own.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLauper was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November, capping off a milestone year.<\/p>\n
