Director Antoine Fuqua\u2019s biopic on Michael Jackson just moonwalked his way to the top of the box office \u2014 claiming the No. 1 spot while on pace to shatter records with an over $90 million weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cMichael\u201d hauled in a staggering $39.9 million on its opening Friday, according to the Numbers<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to industry insiders, the flick\u2019s true potential was revealed when the film earned $12.6 million in Wednesday and Thursday previews, as per the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMichael\u201d hauled in nearly $40 million on Friday.
