The Indiana Fever is looking for a central Indiana artist to design and paint a mural at the under-construction Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center.

The mural will be painted on the interior wall of the player parking garage at the center. It will measure 21 feet by 10 feet.

According to a news release, the mural is intended to “energize and inspire players as they enter the facility.”

“The design will illustrate the intensity, excitement and elite skill of professional women’s basketball through a fun, street-art-inspired aesthetic,” a spokesperson for the Fever said. “While the mural may incorporate Fever colors and uniforms across eras, it will take an interpretive approach and will not include player portraits or official team logos.”

A Request for Qualifications will be released Monday, April 27.

Interested applicants may attend a virtual workshop on June 15 to learn more about the project.

Officials said eligible applicants must be professional mural artists over 18 years old and live in central Indiana — including Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan or Shelby counties.

Interested artists may apply online through the Indy Arts Council’s application portal.

Applications are due July 5, and an artist will be chosen by July 31.

The mural will be painted in early 2027.

The $78 million, 108,000 square-foot, three-story Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center is a “fully integrated, year-round hub for performance, recovery, lifestyle and team connection.”

The center will be located at 30 S. Alabama St., near Gainbridge Fieldhouse and on the former site of the Marion County Jail. The organization broke ground on the facility in September 2025, and it’s expected to open before the 2027 WNBA season.

[73
2839,264869,15990,264870,99,48121,434
post-609667","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-wnba","tag-indiana-fever","tag-mural-artists","tag-pacers","tag-player-portraits","tag-sports","tag-sports-performance","tag-wnba
["GET
