The previous weight recorded was 9.72 pounds, noted during the 2023 Gold Rush event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For the last nine years, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has hosted a two-week-long fishing event known as Gold Rush.
