True Anomaly plans to use the capital to scale operations and nearly double its workforce to 500 employees by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Space is a war-fighting domain, and our adversaries are building space war-fighting capabilities at a scale that we&#8217;ve never seen,&#8221; CEO Even Rogers told CNBC.<\/p>\n<p>The space race is heating up globally, driven by investor enthusiasm for the long-awaited public market debut of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/elon-musk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Elon Musk&#8217;s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/04\/01\/spacex-confidentially-files-for-ipo-setting-stage-for-record-offering.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SpaceX<\/a>. Private space companies are also benefitting from heightened interest, with startups Vast and Sierra Space recently closing funding rounds of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/03\/06\/vast-funding-round-nasa-iss-space-station.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$500 million or more<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the U.S. government is returning astronauts to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/04\/07\/artemis-ii-moon-eclipse-sun-nasa.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">moon<\/a> for the first time in nearly half a century as part of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/humans-in-space\/artemis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Artemis missions,<\/a> and is investing to secure space.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/03\/28\/iran-war-defense-tech-drones-trump-hegseth.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">defense tools<\/a> in a tense geopolitical climate is creating a massive opportunity for space firms, especially those making satellites and tools capable of tracking and intercepting rockets at closer range. President Trump is planning a massive $185 billion ballistic interceptor system, dubbed the Golden Dome, and has called to hike the defense budget to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/01\/08\/defense-stocks-trump-military-spending-europe-us.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$1.5 trillion in 2027<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>SpaceX&#8217;s Starlink is considered the largest satellite maker, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/12\/05\/spacex-unveils-starshield-a-military-variation-of-starlink-satellites.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Starshield<\/a> line <a href=\"http:\/\/spacex.com\/starshield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">designated<\/a> for military and government use. Other competitors include defense tech contractors and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AMZN\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>, which is carving out a stake with Leo, formerly Project Kuiper.<\/p>\n<p>Space interceptors are a new market for True Anomaly, which also makes autonomous orbital satellites, known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trueanomaly.space\/jackal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jackal<\/a>, and its Mosaic autonomy software platform.
