Brooke, who had been estranged from her father for the past two years, stated that her decision was made to protect her own family. She cited fears of a potential legal and financial battle over his massive estate.<\/p>\n
A Decision To Protect Her Family<\/p>\n
Brooke Hogan explained that her primary concern was avoiding a fight with two powerful entities: the Church of Scientology and her own mother, Linda Hogan. She said she has no personal issues with her father\u2019s third wife, Sky Daily, but Daily\u2019s alleged past connection to Scientology made her fearful of a potential conflict.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to fight Linda. I don\u2019t want to fight Scientology,\u201d Brooke said. \u201cI don\u2019t want somebody that I love to get knocked off. I don\u2019t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me. And I just said, \u2018I want out.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
She clarified that her decision was never about the money itself. \u201cI was sobbing when I wrote the text\u2026 I just said, \u2018Take me off everything, I just \u2014 I don\u2019t want to be a part of it,\u2019\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n
