The duo waged a war of words on Maher\u2019s podcast \u201cClub Random\u201d Monday over transgender women competing in female sports before Cross casually mentioned that his 9-year-old daughter had transgender pals in the third grade, sparking further debate.<\/p>\n
Cross had already admitted he lives in a \u201cbubble\u201d \u2014 and said he wants to protect his daughter from the \u201cs\u2013t\u201d on the outside \u2014 which saw the conversation move onto trans rights and trans women in female sports.<\/p>\n

Maher recalled an anecdote from US Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), who has clashed with his party<\/a> over transgender women participating<\/a> in female sports.<\/p>\n \u201cHe said, \u2018Look, I don\u2019t want my 12-year-old daughter to be on the soccer field and be run over by someone who\u2019s identifying as a woman but is really a boy\u2019 \u2026 and a lot of people applauded him for that,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, we saw in the Olympics a okay, born a man, now fighting as a woman boxer just beat the dog s\u2013t out of a woman, the other boxer. A lot of people were disturbed by that.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very disturbing to watch because it\u2019s a man beating the s\u2013t out of a woman. I\u2019m just saying there\u2019s stuff inside the bubble that could be bad.\u201d<\/p>\n Cross claimed he\u2019s seen pre-pubescent girls \u201ckick the s\u2013t out of boys\u201d as he tried to challenge the host.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is what\u2019s wrong with the looney left, they just die on the hills that are unnecessary to die on,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n Later in the show, Cross mentioned how his daughter has transgender friends at school.<\/p>\n \u201cWait, she has trans friends in third grade?\u201d Maher quizzically asked. \u201cThey know they\u2019re trans in third grade?\u201d<\/p>\n Maher tried to argue that children of that age are not old enough to decide what gender they want to be.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew somebody who said to me, a woman said, \u2018I was with what they called a tomboy. If I was alive now and acted the way I did then, that\u2019s what they would have done to me,\u2019\u201d he said, recalling a past conversation.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, nobody\u2019s doing this to her,\u201d Cross said.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cSomebody is doing something because 8- or 9-year-olds can\u2019t do anything on their own,\u201d Maher clapped back.<\/p>\n After they agreed to disagree, Maher quipped: \u201cGood luck with President Vance.<\/p>\n \u201cAs I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You\u2019re just why she lost.\u00a0This is a case of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Cross was visibly stunned as he said: \u201cWait, what?\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cWe voted for the same person, you\u2019re just why she lost,\u201d Maher repeated.<\/p>\n \u201cAmerica hears this and they\u2019re going to go \u2018Bill\u2019s right, 8-year-olds can\u2019t really make decisions on their own like this.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what most people are going to say. And this is where the Democrats are with David Cross living in Brooklyn with Mamdami loving, and this is why, you know, we\u2019re going to vote for JD Vance.
