Some area residents already say that Greensboro has enough businesses and people \u2013 too much traffic, no parking, a lack of housing, and so on \u2013 however, there\u2019s a group of economic development officials in town whose job it is to bring in more business and grow it from local roots \u2013 and it\u2019s time again for that event.<\/p>\n
Greensboro Startup Week is back, and organizers say the 2026 version is the biggest one yet.<\/p>\n
Launch Greensboro, the entrepreneurial arm of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, announced that the four-day event will run from Monday, April 27 through Thursday, April 30 and it will feature 45 different sessions, panels, workshops and networking events spread across the city.<\/p>\n
More than 400 people have already registered for at least one event, and organizers say that attendance could reach a record high by the time the week wraps up.<\/p>\n
Joey Cheek, the executive vice president of entrepreneurship at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, said the scale of this year\u2019s event reflects growing momentum in the city\u2019s business community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is by far the most ambitious event we\u2019ve ever put together,\u201d Cheek said. \u201cThe caliber of speakers, the breadth of topics, and the sheer number of people showing up to engage tells us that the entrepreneurial energy here in Greensboro is real \u2013 and it\u2019s accelerating.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event brings together a wide range of participants \u2013 from first-time entrepreneurs to established companies, along with investors, corporate leaders and others interested in the region\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s programming puts a particular focus on industries that organizers say are driving growth in the Triad: advanced manufacturing, aerospace, battery storage and logistics.<\/p>\n
Speakers and participants are expected from a number of major companies and organizations, including Honda Aircraft Company, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, JetZero, Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Cone Health Ventures, along with representatives from venture capital groups, startups and academic institutions.<\/p>\n
The week will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, pitch competitions and hands-on workshops, all aimed at helping entrepreneurs at different stages of development \u2013 whether they\u2019re just starting out or looking to expand an existing business.<\/p>\n
Organizers say the goal is to strengthen connections across the local business community and highlight Greensboro\u2019s growing role as a center for innovation.<\/p>\n
