{"id":612251,"date":"2026-04-29T00:41:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612251\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T00:41:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:41:14","slug":"its-unlikely-roope-hintz-will-return-for-stars-wild","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612251\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s unlikely Roope Hintz will return for Stars-Wild"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/glen-gulutzan\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Head coach Glen Gulutzan<\/a> said Tuesday that it\u2019s unlikely Roope Hintz will suit up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/stars\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stars<\/a> during their first-round playoff series with the Wild.<\/p>\n<p>Gulutzan ruled Hintz out for Game 6 in Minnesota Thursday and said there is only a slim chance he would play if the series reached Game 7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a chance,\u201d Gulutzan said of his availability for Game 7. \u201cWould I bet on it? No.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hintz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/stars\/2026\/03\/06\/stars-roope-hintz-exits-game-vs-colorado-needs-assistance-skating-off-ice\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was injured during Dallas\u2019 March 6 game <\/a>against the Colorado Avalanche after a collision with Nathan MacKinnon. It was his first game back from the Olympic break after dealing with an illness for over a week.<\/p>\n<p>Hintz then suffered a setback in his recovery, as the Stars initially thought he would return ahead of the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>The centerman has been skating for nearly a week, but has not yet participated in a group skate. The Stars would like for him to skate with the group before he plays in a game.<\/p>\n<p>Hintz had 44 points in 53 games for the Stars this season.
