{"id":612259,"date":"2026-04-29T00:45:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612259\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T00:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T00:45:11","slug":"harrogate-women-crowned-winners-at-international-fitness-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612259\/","title":{"rendered":"Harrogate women crowned winners at international fitness competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/69f09ae8ac4cb.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/>\n                                    Champions: Alice Hardy and Hannah Brown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Two athletes from Harrogate have been crowned champions at an international fitness competition.\n        <\/p>\n<p>Hannah Brown and Alice Hardy secured victory at the ATHX Pro event in Paris on Saturday (25 April), earning them a place at the ATHX World Finals later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The pair qualified for the event after winning the ATHX female finals in Glasgow in 2025, progressing to compete against leading athletes from across Europe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/69f09b2252a2a.jpg\" style=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>ATHX is a high-intensity functional fitness competition, designed as a continuous 2.5-hour test across six different zones.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Each zone features a specific challenge, combining strength, endurance, speed, and skill, requiring competitors to maintain performance throughout without extended breaks.<\/p>\n<p>The format is intended to push athletes to their physical and mental limits, testing all-round fitness rather than specialisation in a single discipline.<\/p>\n<p>And Harrogate athletes Alice and Hannah finished top of the standings in the Pro category.<\/p>\n<p>Alice said:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted this one more than ever. We came with one goal &#8211; to win &#8211; we left our soul on that competition floor and we did it!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pair dedicated their victory to their sons Bobby and Theo.<\/p>\n<p>Alice added:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Becoming boy mums made us, and gives us the strength every single day to push beyond our limits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Their latest result means they have now qualified for the 2026 ATHX World Finals, which will take place from 27\u201329 November at the Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre in Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>The finals will bring together top-performing athletes from across the season, with competitors from multiple countries expected to take part.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Champions: Alice Hardy and Hannah Brown.
