After his breakup<\/a> with Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>, Barry Keoghan<\/a> took a break<\/a> from social media to rumors that he alleged he cheated on Carpenter. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of hatred towards me for looking like this,\u201d he explains on the Friends Keep Secrets<\/a> podcast. Benny Blanco, who co-hosts the podcast with Lil Dicky and his wife, Kristin Batalucco, empathizes with Keoghan over the negative comments and tries to offer him another perspective on finding humor in the criticism \u2014 Blanco showed off a gifted key chain of his \u201cdirty feet\u201d<\/a> and carried it around proudly. But for Keoghan, the comments affected him so deeply that he no longer wanted to attend public events, especially when they turned toward calling him a cheater amid the Carpenter breakup. \u201cI stopped going to events. I stopped socializing,\u201d he says. \u201cThere was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on, a narrative that\u2019s not true, and I never confirmed or said anything about it. And I just disappeared.\u201d<\/p>\n The Saltburn actor shares that influencer Breckie Hill, who had implied that she had hooked up with Keoghan, later\u00a0retracted<\/a>\u00a0her statement, saying she had never met him. But the tabloids did not pick up the latter part of her confession, he says. At the time, he didn\u2019t want to \u201cpile on\u201d to the situation by addressing the rumors, for fear of sending his attackers to someone else. At the height of their breakup, Keoghan asked fans to be \u201crespectful<\/a>\u201d toward him, as people were harassing his grandmother and intimidating his son.
