{"id":612430,"date":"2026-04-29T02:42:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T02:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612430\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T02:42:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T02:42:12","slug":"cetera-merges-two-rias-into-new-employee-advisor-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/612430\/","title":{"rendered":"Cetera Merges Two RIAs Into New Employee Advisor Firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Cetera Financial Group has combined two of its internal, owned registered investment advisors to create Cetera Planning Partners, a national employee RIA with over 100 advisors and about $19 billion in assets under advisement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The deal brings together Avantax Planning Partners, Cetera\u2019s wholly owned RIA channel that came over via the Avantax acquisition, and <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/ria-roundup-cetera-buys-first-pure-ria\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Retirement Planning Group<\/a>, an RIA that the broker\/dealer acquired in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Cetera Planning Partners will operate as an employee-advisor community within Cetera\u2019s RIA and Branches Channel, and is part of the firm\u2019s broader efforts to grow its employee RIA community through acquisitions.The firm has completed 70 deals in the last six years, including the acquisitions of <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/cetera-acquires-1-9b-team-into-avantax-ria-channel\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Darnall Sikes Wealth Partners<\/a>, <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ria-news\/deals-moves-corient-acquires-ria-in-silicon-valley-carson-in-midwest\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Plains Wealth Management<\/a> and Matkovic Financial Group in 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Cetera launched the dedicated RIA and Branches Channel in June under the direction of President Jen Hanau.
