15 stolen bass guitars belonging to Korn bassist Ra Diaz were recently recovered by Henderson Police in Henderson, Nevada. According to FOX5<\/a>, the instruments were taken during a storage space break-in that took place in the Las Vegas area roughly two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

A tip from a fan who noticed markings on the instruments dating back to Diaz\u2018s days playing in Suicidal Tendencies led to the eventual recovery of the instruments. The fan noticed the markings while playing one of the stolen instruments in a local music store.<\/p>\n

Henderson Police property crimes detective Jameson Harding went on to say of the investigation:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt definitely helped us early on to be able to get a couple of leads on recovering some of his property, probably a little bit quicker than we may have found them. Because it\u2019s people that he knows and some of his friends who know his stuff very well. So, I think it was pretty helpful with timing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harding also commented of reuniting Diaz with the instruments:<\/p>\n

\u201cOne that we recovered had a Chilean flag on it. And Mr. Diaz is from Chile. And so, they\u2019re getting ready to tour there. He was just super thankful that we found that guitar because he said his plan the whole time was to come back to Vegas for \u2018Sick New World\u2018, get that guitar and take it on tour with him. So, it was really cool to be able to give him that. It\u2019s obviously part of his heritage. He wants to have that with him on this next leg of their tour.<\/p>\n

They hung out for a couple of minutes with us in the office, just going over his stuff. He just seems like such a super guy. Extremely nice, very friendly with our staff here. And he\u2019s been super thankful.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far no arrests have been made in the incident.
