That\u2019s why they started \u201cResilient You,&#8221; a non-profit organization that addresses today\u2019s mental health epidemic in children.<\/p>\n<p>Music is a big part of the therapy.<\/p>\n<p>MORE | Pay It Forward<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Pay it Forward (KUTV)\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/b1007a99-2171-46c5-8133-cb5124a0c649-large16x9_1.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>40% of children and teens in Utah don\u2019t communicate those thoughts among themselves or their parents.  Music and song help to break down those barriers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we do is &#8230; we combine music with foundational life skills and use that as a tool that parents and teachers can use to treat their children,&#8221; Steve said.<\/p>\n<p>Their <a href=\"https:\/\/resilientyou.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">website <\/a>offers a unique learning system that helps parents and teachers strengthen connections and build resilience through an innovative approach.  Steve and Lisa do more than just write uplifting songs about overcoming challenges and adversity: on their website, the two also offer a toolkit to help parents and teachers apply what they are learning to help kids and families cope with the issues and challenges of everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>April has been designated as \u201cResilience Month\u201d  by Governor Spencer Cox.  When making the declaration, he said, \u201cResilientYOU produces an innovative learning system that combines foundational life skills with the power of music to teach positive choices, helping navigate life\u2019s challenges.
