Speed is something that has been particularly beneficial to the Australian recently, as it helped De Minaur win the Washington Open<\/a> title.<\/p>\n De Minaur<\/a> has continued this form into the Canadian Open<\/a>, but he is not the only speedy player on the ATP Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n There has been a big conversation about De Minaur\u2019s speed this week, after he used it to great effect in an incredible point against Frances Tiafoe<\/a> at the Canadian Open.<\/p>\n This has brought back a question that De Minaur was asked en route to winning the Washington Open<\/a> title, where he named three players who he thinks could rival his speed.<\/p>\n One of those is five-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz, who has an unbeaten record against De Minaur<\/a>.<\/p>\n Gael Monfils<\/a> has also never lost to De Minaur, with the 38-year-old one of the three players also named by the Australian as one of the quickest on tour.<\/p>\n The third and final player he named was Corentin Moutet, who De Minaur actually beat<\/a> en route to the Washington Open title.<\/p>\n I asked Alex De Minaur in D.C. (after his QF win vs Brandon Nakashima) to choose three other players that would rival him in terms of raw speed on the court.<\/p>\n His three were:<\/p>\n \u2013 Carlos Alcaraz \u2014 Vansh (@vanshv2k) August 4, 2025<\/a> <\/p>\n View Tweet<\/p>\n Chris Eubanks says there is an ATP player that people do not realise is really fast<\/p>\n It seems that the three people De Minaur named are not the only players who are particularly quick.<\/p>\n With talk of a hypothetical 100m race between De Minaur and Alcaraz on social media, world number 19 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina<\/a> then showed his interest in joining the line-up.<\/p>\n Davidovich Fokina recently suffered heartbreak against De Minaur<\/a> in the Washington Open final, but appears to still back himself in a foot race.<\/p>\n Someone who has supported this claim is former Wimbledon quarterfinalist Chris Eubanks<\/a>, who called Davidovich Fokina \u2018lightning\u2019.<\/p>\n He wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), \u201cI don\u2019t think people realise just how fast Foki is.
