Journalist Dean Jones, writing for Flashscore<\/a>, has now revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to accelerate their transfer plans this summer, having come to terms with James Maddison\u2019s latest injury<\/a> and the imminent departure of Heung-min Son<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Korean international confirmed his exit from Tottenham last Saturday<\/a>, before featuring in what appeared to be a farewell game in front of his hometown supporters in Korea on Sunday, against Newcastle United.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Tottenham are now expected to push forward with urgency, as they aim to complete the signing of an attacking midfielder within the next week.<\/p>\n

Spurs eye new number ten options amid Maddison and Kulusevski doubts<\/p>\n

It is entirely understandable that Tottenham are prioritising the attacking midfield role, given that both James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski<\/a> are expected to spend lengthy spells on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

In the weeks since the breakdown of the Morgan Gibbs-White deal<\/a>, the club have been linked with a host of new names in that area of the pitch.<\/p>\n

Bilal El Khannous and Enzo Millot are among the creative midfielders being considered by Tottenham this summer, as they explore options for their preferred number ten signing. <\/p>\n

Out wide, names such as Alejandro Garnacho and Jack Grealish have also surfaced, although it remains unclear whether Spurs intend to directly replace Heung-min Son in this window.<\/p>\n
