{"id":615937,"date":"2026-04-30T20:37:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T20:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/615937\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T20:37:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T20:37:13","slug":"the-woodlands-country-club-receiving-30-million-renovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/615937\/","title":{"rendered":"The Woodlands Country Club receiving $30-million renovation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Woodlands Country Club is going to look a lot different in the next two years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A $30 million investment by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/sports\/article\/cowboys-golf-club-renovation-22081209.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Arcis Golf<\/a>, which purchased the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/sports\/article\/houston-gleannloch-golf-club-course-upgrades-21018146.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">private golf club <\/a>last May, is underway. The Woodlands Country Club underwent $15 million in renovations over the past six years under previous ownership to add\u00a0pickleball courts and upgrade the clubhouses. But now, both the Tournament Course and Player Course will be restored and off-course offerings will be upgraded.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/houston\/news\/2026\/04\/29\/the-woodlands-country-club-renovation-golf-courses.html?cx_testId=117&amp;cx_testVariant=cx_undefined&amp;cx_artPos=2#cxrecs_s\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Houston Business Journal<\/a>, the Player Course&#8217;s renovation will include the restoration of original green contours, rebuilt bunkers with modern liners and fairway adjustments to improve playability.<\/p>\n<p>The Tournament Course&#8217;s renovation, led by Beau Welling Design, is already complete\u2014just in time to host to the annual PGA Tour Champions&#8217; Insperity Invitational on May 8-10, which will feature its deepest field in its 20-year history. It features rebuilt greens, replanted putting surfaces, resurfaced and expanded tees, repaired cart paths and bridges and trimmed pond edges. Some trees were also selectively removed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The off-course offerings will also step it up a notch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile restoring championship golf was a critical first step, the evolution of the clubhouses is what truly brings the vision full circle,&#8221; Arcis Golf CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/arcisgolf.com\/press-releases\/arcis-golf-delivering-on-multi-million-dollar-commitment-at-the-woodlands-country-club\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Blake Walker said in a release.<\/a> &#8220;From the courses to the social spaces, fitness and dining, every investment we\u2019re making is about creating a more connected, welcoming, and enduring club environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All of the clubhouses will be renovated and include upgraded food and beverage offerings. The Tournament Clubhouse, the renovation for which will begin this summer, will introduce a re-imagined bar, fitness and social spaces.
