Charles Scott<\/a> did not need long to make his decision.<\/p>\n

The 2028 quarterback out of Richmond (Va.) Huguenot<\/a> visited Alabama<\/a> for the first time on April 1, picked up an offer that same day, and exactly one month later, he has committed to the Crimson Tide.<\/p>\n

From the moment Scott stepped on campus, the tone was set.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got the offer about a month ago, and ever since then it\u2019s been nonstop love,\u201d Scott told Rivals.
\u201cIt\u2019s real love, not just to make me look good, but real.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat first visit made a strong impression. When I got there, I paid attention to the little things. How the coaches interact, how they get along with each other, you can tell it\u2019s real outside of football.\u201d<\/p>\n

The environment stood out immediately.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like home,\u201d Scott said. \u201cI knew I could see myself playing there right away. All the quarterbacks came up to me, talked to me and told me it\u2019s the place to be. They laid it all out for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt so comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott likes the staff he will play for in Tuscaloosa <\/p>\n

Quarterbacks coach Bryan Ellis<\/a> played a major role in building that connection.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been building a great bond outside of football,\u201d Scott said. \u201cHe makes the game easier for me and talks about my development years down the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis knowledge and how he coaches stood out. He\u2019s trying to become one with the player.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kalen DeBoer<\/a> drew praise too. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a great coach. I saw him at practice, he is a winner and I know he wants the best for his players.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alabama\u2019s history at the position also factored into the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe growing up, \u201d Scott said. \u201cSeeing what they did there showed me the development is real. Alabama has developed some top quarterbacks, I have been watching them for a long time, and I love what they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

That track record continues to define the program.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlabama football is the best of the best,\u201d he said. \u201cCoaching style, development and the way they prepare you for life after football put them at the top. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I love the players \u2014 they made it feel like home.\u201d<\/p>\n
