“I am pleased to announce that, based on the fact the European Union is not complying with our fully agreed to Trade Deal, next week I will be increasing Tariffs charged to the European Union for Cars and Trucks coming into the United States. The Tariff will be increased to 25%,” Trump wrote Friday morning in a Truth Social post.<\/p>\n
He did, however, indicate that he would drop the tariffs if European companies<\/a> agreed to manufacture their cars in the U.S.<\/p>\n “It is fully understood and agreed that, if they produce Cars and Trucks in U.S.A. That’s a record. We’ve never had anything like it, from all countries \u2014 Japan, South Korea, every, by the way, Canada, Mexico \u2014 they’re all building plants in the United States.
