{"id":618192,"date":"2026-05-01T23:32:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T23:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/618192\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T23:32:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T23:32:08","slug":"ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-facing-life-in-prison-after-indictment-on-upgraded-charge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/618192\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Turnstile Guitarist Brady Ebert Facing Life in Prison After Indictment on Upgraded Charge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/turnstile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Turnstile<\/a> guitarist Brady Ebert is facing life in prison following an indictment on an upgraded charge of first-degree attempted murder after allegedly running over singer Brendan Yates\u2019 79-year-old father William with a car.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebanner.com\/community\/criminal-justice\/brady-ebert-turnstile-guitarist-attempted-murder-indictment-LQIDFRVUYVB7NOB5TSXEEBB2QA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Baltimore Banner<\/a>, Ebert was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on Thursday, April 30th. and the first-degree attempted murder charge has the potential to lead to life imprisonment if Ebert is convicted. Ebert had already been facing a second-degree attempted murder charge, which carries up to 30 years in prison, as well as first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.<\/p>\n<p>The Baltimore Banner attempted to reach Ebert\u2019s attorney Andy Alpert for comment, but had not heard back at the time of its Friday morning article.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, Ebert was arrested after a <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/04\/ex-turnstile-guitarist-attempted-murder-singer-brendan-yates-father\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">March 29th incident<\/a> in which he apparently confronted William Yates and other members of Turnstile singer Brendan Yates\u2019 family. According to a police report, the guitarist drove to William\u2019s home in Silver Spring, Maryland, and initially nearly hit the senior citizen with his 2001 Buick LeSabre, causing the elder Yates to throw a rock at the vehicle. Ebert then backed up the car, and ran over William, severely injuring the elder Yates to the point where one of his bones was sticking out of his leg.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Ebert has since claimed he was acting in self defense, accusing William of attacking him.
