Inter Miami remain focused on a deal to sign Manchester United<\/a> midfielder Casemiro this summer, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.<\/p>\n

The MLS side are pushing to sign the Brazilian international on a free transfer once his Old Trafford contract expires in June.<\/p>\n

Despite Casemiro\u2019s brilliant recent form, with the 34-year-old winning United\u2019s Player of the Month award for April, Romano suggests the ‘world-class’<\/a> Brazilian is unlikely to make a U-turn on his future and stay at United.<\/p>\n

The former Real Madrid star is United\u2019s joint-second top scorer in the Premier League this season, with nine goals in 32 appearances.<\/p>\n

Inter Miami Working on Casemiro Deal<\/p>\n

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel<\/a>, revealed that Inter Miami are focused on bringing Casemiro to MLS, with the Brazilian expected to leave United at the end of his contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am told that this is not changing. Casemiro is leaving Manchester United at the end of the season. At least as of today, that’s the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy understanding is that despite some calls from Saudi Arabia, MLS remains a strong, concrete, real possibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told you several times, also including Inter Miami in the conversation, and that remains the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cInter Miami have been working on a deal to sign Casemiro since March. I maintain that Inter Miami really want to go for Casemiro.\u201d<\/p>\n

United are prioritising a replacement for Casemiro this summer, with Nottingham Forest\u2019s Elliot Anderson and Brighton\u2019s Carlos Baleba among the potential targets.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils are expected to bring in at least two new midfielders, as uncertainty remains over Manuel Ugarte\u2019s future at the club.<\/p>\n

The Uruguayan has struggled for regular minutes at Old Trafford this season and has attracted interest from Serie A clubs<\/a> ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n

Man Utd Remain Keen on Sandro Tonali<\/p>\n

Manchester United remain interested in Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n

According to Romano, the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on the Italy international<\/a>, who is open to switching Premier League clubs after the season.<\/p>\n

Despite interest from Serie A sides, Romano believes a return to Italy for Tonali in 2026 is \u2018absolutely impossible\u2019, as Newcastle would demand a huge fee of \u2018around \u20ac90m, \u20ac100m or \u20ac110m\u2019.<\/p>\n

Tonali is under contract with the Magpies until June 2028 and has made 50 appearances across all competitions this season, registering 10 goal contributions.<\/p>\n
