{"id":61988,"date":"2025-08-06T06:37:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T06:37:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/61988\/"},"modified":"2025-08-06T06:37:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T06:37:08","slug":"slough-jobseeker-i-had-50-rejections-before-finding-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/61988\/","title":{"rendered":"Slough jobseeker: &#8216;I had 50 rejections before finding work&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ms Beno moved to the UK with her two children to reunite with her husband.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She was a primary school teacher in India, but said she never predicted how difficult it would be to find a job. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">After a six-month search Ms Beno said her confidence was at its lowest, before she attended a workshop run by local charity Viva Slough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She said it gave her confidence a boost, and helped her realise: &#8220;I am not alone, there&#8217;s people like me.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Most people there were like me, who took a break from their career, who were at home due to personal reasons,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ms Beno moved to the UK with her two children to reunite with her husband.
