As per usual, three PS5 and PS4 games are up for grabs through PS Plus Essential<\/a> in May. Sony’s entry-level subscription has been pretty solid in 2026 so far, and we think this is another decent selection \u2014 albeit with a caveat or two.<\/p>\n

For starters, EA Sports FC 26<\/a> is the headline act. Obviously, the annual football sim \u2014 formerly known as FIFA \u2014 racks up crazy sales every year, and so you’d suspect that a lot of PS Plus subscribers will already own this one.<\/p>\n

What’s more, sports titles naturally divide opinion. Chances are, if you’re not into the sport to begin with, then you’ll have little interest in the video game adaptation.<\/p>\n

Still, FC 26 is a solid enough instalment. If your real-life team’s been having a tough time this season, then you could do worse than jumping into career mode in an attempt to rewrite history.<\/p>\n

Next up is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers<\/a> \u2014 a Chinese Souls-like that was met with rather lukewarm reviews upon its release last year. There is some good action to be found here, however, and a number of updates have improved the experience since launch.<\/p>\n

And last but certainly not least, we’ve got the highest-rated game in the lineup: Nine Sols<\/a>. This surprisingly bloody Metroidvania is one of the best examples of the genre that you’ll find on PlayStation, featuring some impressively tight action and a cool story.<\/p>\n

We’d highly recommend checking it out.<\/p>\n
