Wilson trail<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A hiker found himself in a scary situation when he came face-to-face with a large bear that charged at him as he tried to scare it away. It was all caught on video.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Frith-Smith spotted the bear on Saturday as it casually strolled through her mother&#8217;s backyard in Shadow Hills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;I was so excited, and they kept telling me to go back in, but I wanted to see the bear,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">And so did the neighborhood kids, with some of them bewildered by the bear sighting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;I&#8217;ve never seen this. This is crazy. At one point, they pulled out long guns just in case the bear&#8217;s energy took a turn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The bear eventually left the neighborhood without incident. Police say it&#8217;s now back in its natural habitat in the mountains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;In my opinion, I think he was just hungry,&#8221; Avakin said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The sighting is a reminder to keep areas around your home free of food and garbage that could attract wildlife, big and small.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;It was just totally unexpected.
