\n\tThe internet personality and boxer recently responded to a teasing rib the three-time Grammy winner made during her opening segment, in which she compared their career paths and how they\u2019ve both achieved their dreams.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I was 13, I was on a Disney show called Bizaardvark,\u201d Rodrigo recalled<\/a>. \u201cWe had an incredible cast, which included acting legend Jake Paul. We\u2019d always talk about our futures, me and Jake. I\u2019d say, \u2018I really want to create music that explores the complexities of girls my age.\u2019 And he\u2019d say, \u2018Well, one day I really want to beat up old guys on Netflix.\u2019 And we both did it! Hurray!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTaking to social media, Paul wrote that they both \u201chad the vision\u201d and \u201ci told you that you would sell stadiums out and then we both did.\u201d He concluded, \u201cproud of you fr.\u201d The former Vine star reposted his tweet on Instagram set to Rodrigo\u2019s smash debut \u201cdrivers license.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen a commenter responded to his initial tweet that the singer-songwriter was laughing \u201cat him and not with him,\u201d Paul took it in stride, saying, \u201cI got that she was making a joke at my expense. So what. She\u2019s on SNL<\/a> and that\u2019s what they are supposed to do. Doesn\u2019t change my admiration of her and her success.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Instagram, he also posted a throwback picture of the two of them on the set of the Disney Channel<\/a> sitcom, which ran for three seasons from 2016 to 2019. \u201cAh the good ole days,\u201d he captioned the photo.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast night marked Rodrigo\u2019s hosting debut on SNL and third time performing. She was previously a musical guest, in 2021 and 2023.<\/p>\n
