The Cannes Film Festival jury hasn\u2019t been officially announced, but we hear that \u201cEuphoria\u201d star\u00a0Jacob Elordi\u00a0is already out of the running.<\/p>\n

A Hollywood insider tells Page Six Hollywood that Elordi, 28, broke his foot recently, \u201cso they\u2019re trying to replace him as a judge at Cannes.\u201d<\/p>\n

South Korean filmmaker\u00a0Park Chan-wook\u00a0\u2014 whose films \u201cOld Boy,\u201d \u201cThirst\u201d and \u201cDecision to Leave\u201d have previously played the fest \u2014 is the Cannes jury head this year.<\/p>\n

But the rest of the jury for the festival, May 12 to 23, has yet to be revealed. There have only been rumors so far that Elordi, as well as\u00a0Demi Moore, could be on the jury \u2014 and that\u00a0Julianne Moore\u00a0will receive Kering\u2019s annual Women in Motion Award.<\/p>\n

Reps for Elordi did not get back to multiple requests for comment since Friday.<\/p>\n

As far as the allegedly injured foot goes, anyone who\u2019s been to Cannes knows that there\u2019s a lot of schlepping around \u2014 even if you\u2019re being chauffeured from the Hotel du Cap to the Palais for premieres and photocalls and parties along La Croisette. Being hobbled would put a damper on things.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Cannes jury is traditionally made up of a mix of international directors, writers and actors \u2014 often with one younger up-and-coming star thrown in the mix with a more established Hollywood name. Once rising stars on the jury in years past have included\u00a0Elle Fanning, Lily Gladstone, Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Chastain\u00a0and\u00a0Jake\u00a0and\u00a0Maggie Gyllenhaal\u00a0mixed in with more established talent like\u00a0Will Smith, Halle Berry, Willem Dafoe\u00a0and\u00a0Nicole Kidman.<\/p>\n

Elordi was nominated for an Oscar this year for \u201cFrankenstein\u201d and also starred in \u201cWuthering Heights\u201d with\u00a0Margot Robbie. He\u2019s made more headlines lately for allegedly dating\u00a0Kendall Jenner\u00a0(who would have been a notable potential plus-one on the Cannes red carpet).<\/p>\n

The actor has a history of being accident prone. Elordi told Esquire that while starring in \u201cWuthering Heights\u201d he took a shower to wash off \u201cmange and dirt\u201d from a day of shooting and ended up in the hospital. In a steam shower, \u201cI leant back and my back seared into the steam knob and I stood up screaming; it tore up my back. When I went to work on Monday I had a second-degree burn,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Health reported in 2021 that Elordi had been a high school rugby player until, \u201cHe\u2019d broken a bone in his back.
