Giving him the ingredients he\u2019s looking for makes a lot of sense. Note that each level of the defense \u2014 the DL, LBs, and DBs \u2014 got additions.<\/p>\n

2) Vikings Steal a Do-it-All Player<\/a>: While development is needed, the newcomer offers a lot of promise. Why not go for promise when bringing in UDFA talent? The team keeps UDFAs on an annual basis. Maybe the next tremendous add has been scooped up.<\/p>\n

3) Kevin O\u2019Connell Thinks He Has an Ace Up His Sleeve<\/a>: The presence of Ryan Nielsen is seen as being very important. The former HC and DC is now a top assistant in the Twin Cities. Partnering the super talented Caleb Banks with the coach is meant to lead to a great outcome.<\/p>\n

4) The Vikings\u2019 Depth Chart and the Players Who Got Bad News<\/a>: The NFL is a tough workplace. Every haul of new talent means others are getting forced out. The league always leans toward youth, especially when the young players are cheap.<\/p>\n

5) Vikings Pickup Boasts \u201cGazelle-Like\u201d Speed<\/a>: Much to like in the very athletic Jake Golday. Minnesota\u2019s linebacker spot did need a youth infusion, especially with veteran Blake Cashman<\/a> playing on the final year of his deal. Even better, Golday could get kicked up to edge rusher.<\/p>\n
