\n\tWhen it comes to fashion<\/a>\u2018s biggest night, the cameras typically stay outside The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, keeping what goes on inside the Met Gala<\/a> mostly exclusive to only those invited.<\/p>\n

\n\tGuests must abide by the event\u2019s no-phone policy once inside the museum; however, with that many high-profile stars in one room, there\u2019s likely going to be some leaks in the age of social media \u2014 and there have been plenty over the years (the iconic Met Gala bathroom selfies, iykyk).<\/p>\n

\n\tBut more recently, Vogue has started to offer its own small glimpses inside the glitzy event, allowing a few cameras to capture photos. And there\u2019s no doubt that at least one guest will become another rule-breaker this year and share a peek at what goes on inside. Below, The Hollywood Reporter is highlighting some of the top moments from inside the Met Gala that have made it to social media.<\/p>\n

\t\tSabrina Carpenter and Stevie Nicks Shut Down the Stage With Performances\t<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile the Met Gala is known for the fashion, there\u2019s always a surprise musical moment inside that gets the A-list guests up and dancing. In the past, Ariana Grande, Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have all entertained attendees with their hit songs.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year, it looks like Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>, coming off her headlining Coachella performance, is the artist gifting her stunning vocals to those invited.<\/a> Videos posted on X from inside the event show the \u201cEspresso\u201d singer \u2014 who also served on this year\u2019s host committee \u2014 wearing a colorful outfit on the stage in front of the Met\u2019s Temple of Dendur, and later a fringed golden dress.<\/p>\n

\n\tPer Vogue<\/a>, she performed some of her biggest hits, including \u201cHouse Tour,\u201d \u201cEspresso\u201d and \u201cPlease, Please, Please.\u201d Stevie Nicks later took to the stage to perform \u201cGypsy\u201d and \u201cEdge of Seventeen,\u201d as well as \u201cLandslide\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow\u201d with Carpenter.<\/p>\n

\t\tA-Listers Mix and Mingle\t<\/p>\n

\n\tOnce inside, before guests take their seats, celebs have the opportunity to browse the new exhibition \u2014 this year it\u2019s \u201cCostume Art\u201d \u2014 before it debuts to the public on May 10.\u00a0While looking at the new pieces, they also get the chance to catch up, gossip and have a laugh with fellow industry creatives.<\/p>\n

\n\tThen the real party starts (as seen in photos below) once attendees find their seat \u2014 that\u2019s been carefully curated \u2014 in the room surrounding the Met\u2019s Temple of Dendur. <\/p>\n

\n\tSache Taylor,\u00a0Vogue\u2019s director of special events, previously shared<\/a>, \u201cWe spend a great deal of time thinking about who is sitting next to whom \u2014 ideally pairing people who will have an immediate connection, or perhaps discover they have more in common than they realized.\u201d Taylor added that it\u2019s important for them to make sure \u201ceveryone has a good view of the stage\u201d and are not sitting next to a \u201cformer flame.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\tCelebs Munch on a Northern Italian Gardens-Inspired Dinner\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year, the decor inside the museum, designed by Ra\u00fal \u00c0vila and Derek McLane, was inspired by the design of Northern Italian gardens. The catered dinner from Olivier Cheng Catering and Events also followed the same concept, as the celebrity guests will be enjoying a burrata appetizer, a rack of lamb with morel panna cotta, Parmesan gnocchi, asparagus, carrots, spring peas and mint, and three different dessert dishes, according to Vogue<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThough outsiders won\u2019t get a taste of the curated three-course meal themselves, maybe they\u2019ll get a secret food review from one of the guests, similar to what Megan Thee Stallion did last year<\/a>. I guess you\u2019ll have to stay tuned.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe dress code for the 2026 Met Gala was \u201cFashion\u00a0Is Art,\u201d while this year\u2019s exhibition, \u201cCostume Art,\u201d examined \u201cthe centrality of the dressed body throughout time and culture, juxtaposing garments and works of art from across the Museum\u2019s vast collection to create pairings that highlight the indivisible connection between clothing and the body,\u201d according to the official descriptions.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyonc\u00e9, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour served as this year\u2019s co-chairs, while Jeff Bezos and Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos were the honorary chairs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
