After completing a 3-1 series comeback in the first round, the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> began their second round series with the New York Knicks<\/a> on Monday, and let’s say they got off on the foot.<\/p>\n

The 76ers were down by 23 points at halftime and went on to lose by 29.<\/p>\n

For Philadelphia<\/a>, it can’t be ideal to start another series down in an early hole, but head coach Nick Nurse doesn’t sound to be pressing the panic button after the defeat.<\/p>\n

Nick Nurse is not worried about the lopsided Game 1 loss<\/p>\n

“I know that wasn’t fun. It wasn’t any fun to sit there, to be a part of, to be honest, and watch, but it’s 0-1. It doesn’t really matter if it’s six points or 36. It’s 0-1. You’ve got to wash that one away and get back,” Nurse exclaimed.<\/p>\n

This is one of the many times you should listen to the Nurse, as he has a point here, especially considering the 76ers lost Game 1 of the first round matchup with the Boston Celtics<\/a> by 32 points.<\/p>\n

Unlike the NCAA tournament, the playoffs are not a one-and-done format; it’s first-to-four, and no game is the same.<\/p>\n

While the 76ers didn’t look good by any means on Monday, there is plenty of series left, and with the pieces they have, momentum can shift at any moment.<\/p>\n

Luckily, for the 76ers, they won’t have to wait long to get another shot at the Knicks with Game 2 taking place on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Blowouts in the playoffs call for many overreactions, but the last thing fans should do is count Philadelphia out before the series truly gets started.<\/p>\n
