(WECT) &#8211; A black bear was seen running through some yards and streets in Wilmington. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A video sent to WECT\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wect.com\/community\/audience\/user-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wect.com\/community\/audience\/user-content\/\">See it, Snap it, Send it<\/a> by Tim Garner showed a black bear running through some front yards into a street before jumping a fence. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Garner said he spotted the bear along Wrightsville and Wilshire Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wect.com\/2026\/04\/16\/black-bear-activity-increasing-statewide-wildlife-officials-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wect.com\/2026\/04\/16\/black-bear-activity-increasing-statewide-wildlife-officials-say\/\">The N.C. The Wildlife Resources Commission <\/a>(NCWRC) says black bears are found throughout North Carolina, from the mountains to the piedmont and coastal plain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">NCWRC says bears are commonly attracted to garbage and recycling, bird feeders, grills, pet food and trash inside vehicles.
