When the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> play the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> in the second round of the postseason, don’t expect to see Jalen Williams<\/a> right away.<\/p>\n

Williams suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain on April 22 during the opening round series against the Phoenix Suns<\/a>. He missed the final two games of the series, which Oklahoma City<\/a> won, 4-0. He was officially ruled out for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Lakers, who are playing without<\/a> Luka Don\u010di\u0107<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of Monday afternoon, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault described Williams as “week-to-week<\/a>” with this injury.<\/p>\n

However, according to InStreetClothes.com<\/a>, the average recovery time for this kind of strain is 12.4 days. Game 1 marks 13 days since the injury occurred.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, he is potentially nearing a return to action for the Thunder, which is great news for their odds of repeating as back-to-back NBA champions.<\/p>\n
